Organization of the Fifth Training Course on Third Space Endoscopy
Dr. Shaimaa El Kholy participated in organizing a series of training courses from Kasr Al-Ainy (KEBC) on Third Space Endoscopy and the removal of gastrointestinal tumors using the Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection technique on living animals in Egypt.
Many doctors and colleagues from various Arab countries, such as Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, Kurdistan, and Syria, as well as from different hospitals and universities in Egypt, attended the training course.
The fifth training course included intensive lectures to introduce Third Space Endoscopy and how to select candidates for applying these techniques. It covered the precise details of the tools used and how to handle complications. On the first day, doctors were trained on animal stomach models. On the second day, they practiced on anesthetized live animals to ensure the experience closely resembled patient procedures with all their challenges.
Afterward, participants received a training course certificate with accredited medical hours, coordinated with the Learning Resource Center at Kasr Al-Ainy.
